Evening and weekend appointments over the bank holiday weekend

Mon - Fri: 6.30pm - 8:00 pm at varies sites in Preston

Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm at Penwortham St Marys Health Centre, park medical practice or Kingsfold medical centre.

Sunday: 9:00am - 12 noon at Park View Surgery, Briarwood medical centre or Gutteridge medical centre.

Monday: 9:00 am - 12 noon at Lane Ends Surgery

We are pleased to be able to offer evening and weekend appointments by working in collaboration with other GP practices in the area.

This does mean that if you want to be seen on a weekday evening or weekend, your appointment may be held at a different GP practice to your registered practice and with a different GP or nurse than you usually see.

The other practices we are working with, and where you may be offered an appointment are:

  • St Mary’s Health Centre
  • Kingsfold Medical Centre
  • Penwortham St Marys Health Centre
  • Dr Yerra – Gutteridge Medical Centre
  • Dr Shahid – Gutteridge Medical Centre
  • Briarwood Medical Centre
  • Lane Ends Medical Centre
  • North Preston Medical Group
  • Park Medical Practice

Your medical record will be available to the GP or nurse that sees you to ensure that they have the information they need to give you the best possible care. Notes of your appointment will be sent back to us to ensure that your record is updated.

In order to book an evening or weekend appointment, you must call us at the practice as these appointments are not currently available online.

However if you need to book an evening or weekend appointment and your GP surgery is shut, please call NHS 111 and they will be able to advise you further.

Please note that once hub availability is full you may be directed to an alternative service.

From 18:30 - 20:00 midweek and at the times stated above at weekends you will be transferred directly to the hub site by calling us on our usual practice telephone number (bank holiday opening times may vary).

When We Are Closed

If you require urgent advice or treatment for non life threatening conditions when the surgery and the hub are closed please call NHS111 by dialling 111. Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones.

Call 999 immediately if you or someone else is having a heart attack or stroke. Every second counts with these conditions. Also call 999 if you think someone has had a major trauma. Major trauma is often the result of a serious road traffic accident, a stabbing, a shooting, a fall from height, or a serious head injury.
